StayFocus Privacy Policy

This policy explains how StayFocus (also displayed as “stayfocus: enough doomscrolling” or “stayfocus خلص”) handles information when you use its Android app and the website at https://getdreamscroll.app. For privacy questions or requests, contact streamlineintelligentai@gmail.com.
Information used on your device
StayFocus stores information such as your chosen session duration, session start and end times, recent session information, onboarding answers about scrolling habits, and app preferences in browser storage or Android app storage. It uses this information to run timers, personalize recommendations, and display session and reward information.
If you grant Android Usage Access, StayFocus can read app usage events, including which app is in the foreground and when it is used. It uses these events on your phone to recognize use of supported social apps, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and offer scrolling reminders. This usage-monitoring information is processed locally on your phone; the monitoring code does not upload those events to any server. Usage Access does not give StayFocus access to the messages, passwords, posts, or screen contents inside those apps.
Information used for notifications
If you enable browser push reminders, StayFocus sends a randomly generated installation identifier, your browser's push subscription endpoint and associated encryption keys, a session identifier, and the scheduled reminder time to its backend. Reminder records can also include creation, delivery, cancellation and retry timestamps, cancellation reasons, delivery status, and technical error details.
These records support scheduled reminders, delivery troubleshooting, and removal of invalid subscriptions. The installation identifier is generated by StayFocus; it is not your Android advertising ID or a hardware identifier. Push subscription details can identify a browser installation and are treated as information requiring protection.
Permissions and controls
Notification permission allows reminders and session notifications. Permission to display over other apps allows the time-up prompt to appear while you use another app. Usage Access supports local social-app monitoring. Foreground service and device-restart functionality keep the relevant monitoring and reminder features running. After a device restart or app update, StayFocus attempts to restart usage monitoring, subject to Android's restrictions on background activity. A device restart clears the active-session flag and does not restore an active countdown; session state, completed-session counts, and the latest session identifier remain in local app storage.
You can manage notifications, Usage Access, and display-over-other-apps permission in Android Settings. Disabling a permission can limit the related feature. Browser notification permissions can also be managed in your browser or site settings.
Service providers and technical information
StayFocus uses hosting and backend services, including Lovable infrastructure and Supabase, and your browser's push delivery service to provide the website, store reminder information, and deliver notifications. The website also loads fonts from Google Fonts. Network services receive information needed to handle requests, which can include an IP address, browser or device information, and request metadata. Our email provider processes messages you send to the privacy contact.
Technical error information, such as an error message and the affected app route, may be sent to Lovable's error-reporting functionality when that functionality is enabled. Providers handle information under their applicable terms and privacy policies and may process it outside your country.
The current app implementation does not include advertising SDKs or functionality that sells personal information. Reminder identifiers and subscription details are used to provide and support the reminder feature.
Storage, security, and retention
The app uses browser and Android storage on your device and HTTPS for its website and backend requests. Browser push messages use the push platform's encryption mechanisms. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Local information remains until cleared by the app, you, or your browser/device. Android backup settings may affect app data. Because the Android app uses a browser to display its web content, uninstalling the Android app may leave website data in that browser.
Push subscriptions, reminder records, and associated delivery information can remain on the backend after a reminder has been delivered or canceled. There is no fixed automatic deletion period in the current reminder implementation. Invalid push subscriptions are removed when the delivery service reports that they have expired. Uninstalling the app or disabling notifications does not, by itself, guarantee deletion of existing backend records.
Access and deletion requests
You can clear locally stored information through browser site-data settings and Android app-storage controls. Clearing local data can remove timers, preferences, and the identifier used to locate your backend records.
To request access to or deletion of backend reminder information, email streamlineintelligentai@gmail.com with the subject “StayFocus privacy request”. If available, include your StayFocus installation identifier, which helps locate the relevant push subscription and reminder records. Contact us before clearing site data if you want help locating those records. Do not send passwords or private push-subscription encryption keys. We may need additional information to identify the relevant records and verify your request. A request made by email may remain in our correspondence records for handling and documenting the request.
If you believe a child has provided information that should be removed, contact the same address. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights concerning your personal information, which you can raise through this contact.
